Recaro Pole Positions

There is something special about taking the ordinary and making it one of a kind.

Our very own @bizzarebrady wanted something unique for his E90 M3 and unique is what we set out to do.

We started off with a pair of Recaro Pole Positions. The seatbacks were factory black with black cloth and although functional they were underwhelming alongside Brady’s wild build.

 After brainstorming with Brady over a period of a week we had the perfect recipe. The plan was as follows:

• Painted seatbacks color matched in Khaki Green to the exterior of the car
• Black leather with alcantara centers
• Yellow contrast stitching to accent the roll cage
• Laser engraved alcantara

Choosing the right embroidery method took some time, trial and error.

We started off with a directional stitch on a flat surface but upon completion the letters had no depth to them.

Foam was added to the headrests and the letters were re-embroidered to achieve that embossed look.

The number 19 in iconic racing format was laser engraved into the alcantara centers. This is an intricate process that requires a lot of attention.

You’ll see this number a lot more in the future. 19 not only signifies the conception of Stand Out, but also a better year, and a time of happiness.

A memory of the past but a beacon of the future.

 And last but not least we surprised Brady with his initials in the seats, to add that final bespoke touch and sign the project with individuality and personalization.
